MOVING MODES (30mph)

Now we will review the modes of the Speedlight System with the vehicle moving. These are called the THE MOVING MODES. Refer to THE MOVING MODES FIGURES adjacent.

  • The ignition switch is on and gear selector in drive for all of these modes.

CONSTANT SPEED WITH NO BRAKING
The Speedlight strip is on low (no braking) with a static light display indicating the speed of the vehicle.

  • Panic Light on low.
  • Taillights off.

DECELERATION WITHOUT BRAKING. “COASTING”

The Speedlight strip is on low (no braking). Lights slowly illuminating sequentially in from ends relative to rate of deceleration.

  • Panic Light on low.
  • Taillights off.

DECELERATION WITH BRAKING

The Speedlight strip is on high (braking). Lights illuminating sequentially in from the ends relative to the braking rate of deceleration.

  • Panic Light on low.
  • Taillights on high.

PANIC STOP DECELERATION

The Speedlight strip is on high (braking). Lights illuminating very rapidly in from the ends relative to the very fast rate of panic deceleration. (15mph/second or more)

  • Panic Light on high.
  • Taillights on high.

ACCELERATION WITHOUT BRAKING

The Speedlight strip is on low (no braking). Lights turning off sequentially out from the center relative to rate of acceleration.

  • Panic Light on low.
  • Taillights off.
